A Love Letter to Vintage

A Love Letter to Vintage

There’s something about vintage that just feels different. The textures, the details, the feeling that what you’re wearing has already lived a life before you found it.

Vintage has always been a part of Akin and Market in the Alley. It’s something that’s grown alongside the community, with vendors who bring their own eye and story into every piece they share.

Meet Rose of Gold Dust Vintage. She first started selling at Market in the Alley in 2017, and over time it’s become a true passion to where she was one of the very first brands in the shop. Today, she continues to curate collections of vintage pieces, with a focus on styles from the 40s, 50s, and 60s. Each piece is chosen with care, bringing together timeless silhouettes and details that are hard to find today.

Vintage is also a more sustainable way to shop. It gives new life to old pieces, keeps clothing out of landfills and reuses what already exists. It’s a simple shift, but it makes a difference.

More than anything, vintage is about intention. Taking the time to find pieces you connect with and making them your own.

Through Gold Dust Vintage, Rose is not just selling clothing, she’s continuing the story of each piece and sharing it with a new generation.
