Encalmo Vase
Encalmo Vase
The necks and bottoms of recycled bottles are used for these encalmo vessels - maximizing the reuse of an entire bottle.
Encalmo is the technique of joining two glass bubbles of different colors together.
For these vessels, a bottle neck is picked up on a blowpipe and fused to the bottom section of another bottle, and then inflated and formed through a glassblowing process.
The result is a beautiful, small glass vessel in the style of bud vases or twig/weed pots. They are perfect filled with small floral arrangements or as simple empty objects.
Size, colors, and style will vary significantly.
The vases with a very small opening are perfect for dried branches, grasses - as it will be challenging to get liquid both into and out of the vessel.
The vases with the larger neck, or opening, are perfect for plant propagation, or for small arrangements of florals that require placement in water.
Approximate size is 3" diameter x 4" - 6" tall.
